Membership

New families are warmly welcomed. Here is how joining works.

Twin Lakes Beach Club is a small, member-run club, and membership is by application. Start with a short note to Membership at tlbcmembers@gmail.com: we will tell you what is open and arrange a visit. Current dues and fees are listed on the official 2026 application form (PDF).

How to join

1. Inquire

Email Membership with a few lines about your family. We will tell you what is open.

2. Visit

Spend an afternoon at the club as a member’s guest. Don’t know a member? Ask Membership about a visit.

3. Apply

Send the application (and boat form) to P.O. Box 405, Canaan, CT 06018, or email a scan.

4. Board review

The Board reviews applications as they arrive. Once approved, pay the initiation fee and first year’s dues and you are in.

What membership includes

The beach and swimming area with lifeguards, the docks and club kayaks, paddleboards and rowboats, the two tennis courts and pickleball, the clubhouse and porch, and the season’s social calendar (a few ticketed events are extra). The snack bar runs on a house account against your minimum. Boat spaces and other required fees are separate and are listed on the application form.
