Kids

A summer of sand, tennis and friends.

Ask a member what they love about the club and they will usually tell you about the summer they were ten. The beach is small enough that kids find each other in minutes, and the lifeguards, the pro and the snack bar crew know them by name by July.

On the beach

Lifeguards watch the swimming area between the docks all season. Younger kids play in the sand and on the swings; older ones swim out to the float, paddle a club kayak and race in Twin Lakes Day’s kickboard, swimming and canoe events.

Children under 12 need a member adult or a babysitter with them at the club.

Junior tennis

The pro runs junior clinics by age and level — pee-wees and rising stars, juniors, competitors and high-school training — plus summer camps and a 10-and-under clinic. The Adult-Junior doubles tournament in August is a family favorite.

Family events

Bingo and ice cream night, family movie night, a teen movie night, weekly pizza night, the Puppy Party, the Fourth of July picnic and the closing campfire. The kids’ menu at the snack bar covers chicken fingers, grilled cheese and hot dogs.
